Fine Art Photography Exhibition «FRAGILE DISTANCE»

FRAGILE DISTANCE is a group exhibition of photography and generative images centred on distance, vulnerability and the perception of the contemporary image. Ten works by five artists move between different degrees of proximity — from detached observation of space and collective movement to a direct encounter with the body and emotional states. The exhibition considers the shifting boundaries between the individual and the surrounding environment, the individual and the collective, observation and immediate experience. The methods behind the works are not disclosed at first: visitors initially encounter the images themselves and only later learn which were made with a camera and which were created using generative models. The project asks: what changes in our relationship to an image when we learn how it was made? The exhibition is open from 31 July to 28 August. Admission is free. On 16 August at 5 pm, a public conversation will focus on the exhibition’s concept, the perception of contemporary images and the artistic practices of the participating artists. Attendance is free; advance registration via the website is required.
